One of the major struggles in today’s society is one in which tension and anxiety are the larger competitors. Therefore, more and more processes are used to reduce the negative impact. The most famous techniques are relaxation and mindfulness exercise. Scientists have proven the profits of relaxation techniques for physical, mental, social and even academic well-being.
The identical applies to mindfulness, whose profits have been developed through various studies that highlight its job in controlling tension and intrusive thoughts, improving the control of emotions and profits for the psychological and physiological zone. As for relaxation methods, there are various exercises such as forward-looking muscle relaxation, serious breathing, massage or meditation. There are also those allied to physical activity, such as, for instance, yoga, and those that focusing on external stimuli: music therapy, art therapy, aromatherapy or hydrotherapy.
